CHILDREN’S BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS
Lucky the Cat
Lucky is no ordinary cat: always wandering, wondering, and sometimes getting into trouble. Here are a selection of scenes from two poetry books I illustrated, showcasing different moments and moods.

EXPERIENCES
First book of poetry
Lucky the Cat was inspired by the author’s real pet, with other animals appearing throughout the story. In a standout poem, the author’s daughter is portrayed as a dreamlike memory from Lucky’s perspective: making this scene to be selected as the book cover.
Established cohesive visual tone & mood
Each poem was broken into distinct scenes, allowing for dynamic visuals while maintaining a cohesive flow across the book.
Author wanted her daughter to be featured
Learning the alphabet with Lucky the Cat
Whether chasing shadows or climbing where he shouldn’t, Lucky turns every moment into a story. This poetic alphabet book captures curiosity, humor, and the joy of discovery.
