CHILDREN”S BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS
Sad Fox
A sneak peak of illustrations I made for The Sad Fox, where we follow a sad fox who doesn’t know her strength yet. It is a gentle story about finding the power within and embracing it.
Plan first, sketch later
I started this project by dividing the book spreads into scenes.
Further collaboration with the client helped to make the process smooth.

Cover illustrations and design of the book
I wanted to balance the title and theme of the book with a more hopeful, open scenery

Sketches and some finished illustrations
While there were many sketches, I first made mockup of a book spreads to get the approval of the client.
Then, once confirmed, I could start exploring the characters and scenes.
Design of book sections
In collaboration with the client, I structured the story, carefully selecting which scenes to combine and which to elevate into full, nearly wordless spreads.
